As a musician, Carol fell in love with Arabic music and by extension, became obsessed "Raqs Sharqi", what most people in the west know as belly dance. She began her dance journey late 2008 at the Sahara School of Middle Eastern Dance in Washington, DC before moving to her current home base in 2010, the greater Seattle area. Since then, not only has she studied with top dancers in the United States but she has traveled to Egypt multiple times for intensive training with top Egyptian masters.

Through the dance, she lives to share the abundant joy she finds in the music and the moment. Her style is soulful and expressive, graceful but energetic, composed yet ecstatic. She is loosely influenced by the modern in Cairo, but the stars of classic Egyptian cinema are closest to her heart.
